I was born in 1972 and was raised in a home where we always had animals - dogs, rabbits, turtles, fish, birds etc.
In private I am married to Lars and we have two children (now grown up) - Mikkel and Mathilde. We live in a small farm just south of Copenhagen with room for horses and a lot of space for my dogs. I have horses, cats and my five dogs at home. I am a chemical engineer from DTU and work as an EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) consultant. I am working from home which gives me a lot of freedom.
I have always loved animals for as long as I remember and have owned a lot of different kinds (birds, hamsters, rabbits, turtle, chinchilla, cats, dogs and horses). Due to my horse life I have gained a lot of knowledge of gaits and how important structure and gaits are.
My first own dog was a cocker spaniel named Sofus and he learned me a lot the hard way - I later learned that he was born in a puppy mill which explained the work I had to do to make him a good family dog. He had no socialisation from the "breeder" and I spent a lot of time with training and socialisation. I then realised how important the first eight to nine weeks of a puppy's life is!
It was not meant to be that I should become a breeder. I made my first litter in 2020 to get a puppy from my very special girl, Milla. She gave me nine puppies and two of them live with me - Mr. Grey and Willow. It was hard work raising the puppies but I loved every single minute of it. Seeing how happy the puppies new families were with their new family member was all worth it. So in 2021 I made another litter - Allies litter - the start of my breeding programme. I completed the breeder education through the Danish Kennel Club and got my kennel brand. I kept Kaycee from Allie's litter and she lives with Ida-Marie and her family.
I love trying to give the puppies the best start of their lives to prepare the puppy for his/her life in their new family. Also I love and focus on making sure that the parents are mentally and physically healthy dogs that can contribute positively to breed standards.
